Care Group Sessions

We have already had 4 care group meetings. The 10 volunteers are motivated and are working very hard to inform the communities on the health topics we are teaching them during sessions. They have formed their own committee and they will be responsible to organize the inauguration of the health hut in January. The community is excited to contribute to the festivities. We also contributed to make uniforms that would help people know that we are Care Group Volunteers.

Our last session was held on November 9^th where we spoke about Respiratory Infections (IRA). This is one of the main health problems in the village in children from 0-5years old. During the meeting, I gave them their identity cards. They were so happy when they received them. The idea was to give them a feeling of importance so that they do not feel they are doing the Care Group for no reason. They are the future ambassadors of the village who will be responsible to take care of their community. Our next meeting will be on November 23^rd on the types of food pregnant women should give their children when they have diarrhea.
