Pauline Seine, the ICP of Karang, came to my village on March 18th
to do a causerie on family planning and do an overall evaluation of the daily
function of the health hut. 30 women were mobilized to receive the Agenaflock flour
and Plumpy Nut Flour (550g for 200cfa) for their children under 6 months old.
21 children were vaccinated for yellow fever, Penta 1, 2, 3 and Measles and 37
children were weighed and 4 pre-natal consultations were scheduled. The ASC,
the matrone, the ICP,an assistant nurse and I were in attendance with the women
of the village. Then, the ICP held a causerie on family planning through
spacing and birth control methods, nutrition of mother and infant during and
after pregnancy, nutrition with Agenaflock, and the importance of breast milk.
She also evaluated the amount of medicines available in the health hut and
replenished the stock. She also supervised the budget of the health hut and the
performance of the ASC.
